Step 1 — Sign Up 🚀

Head to the sign-up page and enter your name, email, and a password. You're in. No email verification, no card, no waiting.

Already have an account? Log in here.

Step 2 — Drop a Vibe Check 🎯

From your dashboard, click "+ Drop a Vibe". You'll fill in:

  • Title — the question itself. e.g. "How's the economy feeling rn? 💸"
  • Context (optional) — extra info for voters
  • Category — Politics, Economy, Food, Pop Culture, Sports, Tech, Local, Other
  • Visibility — Public (appears in trending feed) or Private (link-only)

Pick the right question type

eVibes has 13 question types, organized into three groups:

🌊 Vibe types (emoji-first, count toward vibe score)

😍 → 🤮Emoji Scale — 5-point mood scale. The default. Best for general "how do you feel" questions.
🔥Fire Meter — 1 to 5 flames. Best for "how hot is this take?"
Custom Emoji Reactions — your own emoji buttons. e.g. 🚀 / 💩 for "is this idea good or bad?"
✓ / ✗Yes / No — clean, classic, binary.
👍 / 👎Thumbs Up/Down — like Yes/No but more casual.
Star Rating — 1 to 5 stars.

📋 Classic types (for structured choices)

Multiple Choice (Pick One) — radio buttons.
☑️Multiple Choice (Pick Many) — checkboxes.
Dropdown — for long option lists.

✏️ Text types (open-ended)

📝Short Text — one-line answer.
📄Long Text — paragraph.
✉️Email — validated email address.
📞Phone — validated phone number.
🔢Number — numeric input only.
💡 Pro tip: Vibe checks with 1–3 questions get 5x more responses than longer ones. Keep it short.

Step 3 — Share It Everywhere 📣

The moment you publish, eVibes generates everything you need to distribute your vibe check. The share page has it all in one place.

📱 QR Code

Every vibe check gets its own auto-generated QR code. Scan it with any phone camera and the vibe-check page opens instantly.

Use QR codes for:

  • In-person events — print on flyers, conference badges, or display on a slide
  • Restaurants & shops — table tents, receipts, window decals
  • Posters & flyers — community boards, college campuses, gym walls
  • Instagram Stories — screenshot the QR, add a "Scan this!" sticker
  • Video content — flash it on screen at the end of a TikTok or YouTube video

Click "Download QR Code" to save a high-res PNG you can drop into Canva, Figma, or any design tool.

🖨️ Print / Save PDF Flyer

Need a ready-made poster? Click "Print / Save PDF Flyer" on the share page and eVibes generates a one-page printable flyer with your vibe title, description, the QR code, step-by-step voting instructions, and your creator credit. Hit print to send to a printer, or pick "Save as PDF" as the destination to download a PDF — no software required.

Great for:

  • Posters on community boards, gyms, coffee shops
  • Conference and event handouts
  • Table tents at restaurants and pop-ups
  • Slide decks (open the PDF, screenshot it, drop it on a slide)

🔗 Direct Link

Every vibe check has a clean, short URL like evibes.com/v.php?t=abc123. Click Copy to grab it.

Use the link for:

  • Email newsletters & email signatures
  • Group chats (WhatsApp, iMessage, Slack, Discord, Teams)
  • Reddit comments, forum posts, blog articles
  • Embedding inside other content

📲 One-click social sharing

The share page has dedicated buttons for the biggest platforms — each one opens pre-filled with your vibe-check title and link:

🌐 The trending feed

If you set your vibe check to Public, it automatically appears on the eVibes homepage trending feed — sorted by 🔥 Hot, ✨ New, or 🏆 Top. People browsing the site can find and vote on it without you sharing the link at all. Free extra reach.

📋 Embed it on your website

Got a blog, newsletter, or business website? You can drop the vibe check directly into the page as an interactive widget. Visitors vote inline — they never have to leave your site. After voting, they see live-updating result bars right there in the embed.

From the Share page, scroll down to 📋 Embed on Your Website. You'll get three ready-to-copy iframe snippets:

  • Default — full vibe check with title, questions, and live results
  • Compact — single question, narrow layout, great for blog sidebars
  • Dark theme — for sites with dark backgrounds (the default auto-detects)

Pasting an embed is the same as adding a YouTube video. Most CMSs have an "Embed code" or "Custom HTML" block — drop the iframe code in and it just works.

Works on

WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Ghost, Notion, plain HTML

Doesn't work on

Substack, Medium, LinkedIn, Twitter — they block all iframes by policy. Use the share link instead.

⚙️

Advanced

The embed sends its height to the parent page via postMessage, so iframes can auto-resize. Snippet included on the Share page.

💡 Pro tip: Embed votes count just like regular votes. The same anti-spam protections apply (one vote per browser, IP rate limit). Embeds only work for Public vibe checks — private ones can't be embedded.
💡 Pro tip: The first 50 votes set the tone of a vibe check. Share aggressively in the first few hours after publishing.

Step 4 — Watch the Vibes Roll In 📊

The results page updates live. Every refresh shows the latest count, percentages, and charts.

The vibe score

Every result page shows a big headline number — the vibe score — from 0 to 100%. It rolls up all your sentiment-based questions (emoji scale, fire meter, yes/no, thumbs, ratings) into one easy-to-share number.

🔥80–100% — Fire. The crowd loves it.
😊60–79% — Good vibes.
😐40–59% — Mid. Mixed feelings.
😞20–39% — Bad vibes.
💩0–19% — Trash. People are not happy.

Chart options

Every chartable question lets you toggle between 📊 Bar, 🥧 Pie, and 🍩 Doughnut charts. There's also a 📈 Vote Trend line chart showing votes per day for the last 2 weeks.

Pro Tips for Going Viral

  • Lead with the question, not the explainer. Your title is the hook. Make it punchy. "Is pineapple on pizza a crime? 🍍" > "Survey about Hawaiian pizza preferences".
  • Use timely topics. Vibe checks on today's news, last night's game, or this week's drama get the most engagement.
  • Pick one question type. A single emoji scale beats a multi-question survey every time.
  • Share the result, not just the link. Once you have 100+ votes, screenshot the result and post that — people are more likely to vote when they see "78% say it's trash".
  • Cross-post. The same vibe check works on X, in your group chat, on Reddit, and on Instagram Stories. Repurpose ruthlessly.
  • Add a category & make it public. Public vibes appear in trending and get free organic traffic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do voters need an account?

No. Voting is anonymous and frictionless — anyone with the link or QR code can vote. Only vibe-check creators need accounts.

Can people vote more than once?

We store the voter's IP address with each response to help discourage ballot-stuffing, but eVibes is built for casual sentiment-checking, not statistically rigorous polling. For high-stakes votes, use a tool with stronger anti-fraud.

What's the difference between Public and Private vibe checks?

Public vibe checks appear in the homepage trending feed and category pages — anyone browsing eVibes can find and vote on them. Private vibe checks are link-only — only people you share the URL or QR code with can find them.

Can I edit a vibe check after publishing?

Not currently — editing would invalidate existing votes. If you need to change something, delete it and publish a new one.

Can I close a vibe check to stop accepting votes?

This feature is coming soon. For now, you can delete the vibe check to stop new votes (this also deletes existing responses — export the CSV first if you want to keep them).

Can I embed a vibe check on my website or blog?

Yes! Open the Share page for any public vibe check and scroll down to 📋 Embed on Your Website. You'll get copy-paste iframe code in three flavors (default, compact, dark theme). Paste it into any HTML editor — WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Ghost, Notion, and most CMSs all support iframe embeds. Visitors vote inline and see live results without leaving your site.

Why isn't there an embed code on my private vibe check?

Embeds are public by definition — anyone can view and vote on them once they're on a webpage. So they're only available for vibe checks set to Public visibility. To enable embedding on a private vibe check, edit it and switch visibility to Public.

My embed doesn't appear on Substack / Medium / LinkedIn. Why?

Substack, Medium, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X all block iframes by editorial policy — nothing to do with eVibes specifically. For those platforms, share the regular link instead (e.g. evibes.com/v.php?t=...) and readers can vote with one tap.

Do embed votes count the same as direct votes?

Yep — a vote is a vote. Whether someone votes from your embed, from the regular eVibes page, from the iOS app, or from a kiosk display, it all goes into the same total. The same anti-spam protections (one vote per browser, short IP rate limit) apply across all of them.

Is there a limit to how many vibe checks I can create?

No. Drop as many as you want.

How do I delete my account?

Email us — account deletion will be available in the settings panel soon.
